Based in a Liverpool Children’s Centre. £8 per hour. 21 hours per week; fixed term until 31st March 2017
We are looking for a motivated and committed Outreach Worker, based in Wavertree Children’s Centre in Liverpool. The job entails increasing access to centre services by families with children under 5 in the community the centre serves, and to encourage them to continue to utilise them. The job entails going into community settings, door knocking and other activities to promote increased and ongoing use of centre services. In addition, it will entail assisting with activities for children and families which take place in the centre.
The successful applicant will need at least a level 2 or equivalent in a childcare-related qualification. An enhanced DBS will be undertaken. Strong empathy and communication skills will be needed, plus an ability to deal with challenging circumstances.
