Teaching Assistants L2 1 to 1 Support 2 vacancies – £19, 649 per annum PRO-RATA (£10.47 per hour plus leave allowance total £11.48 per hour
Position 1: 16.25 hours per week
Position 2: 15 hours per week
Fixed-term initially until 19th July 2022 (with the view to extend) or until funding ceases.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Teaching Assistants L2 to provide 1 to 1 support for children with additional needs.
Farnborough Road Infants School in Birkdale, Southport is looking for two motivated and committed Teaching Assistants to provide 1-to-1 support in the Early Years. The successful candidates will be experienced Teaching Assistants with good SEND knowledge and skills to support individual children. The successful candidates will work in the pre-school nursery or the school’s two-year provision.
The post is to start as soon as possible.
The successful candidates would be:
- Committed to raising standards, ensuring children achieve their full potential in acquiring the essential skills needed within the EYFS.
- Adaptable and able to work on their own initiative.
- Able to support pupils who have special educational needs, especially ASD and speech & language and communication difficulties.

It is important that the appointed person complements our existing highly professional team. Although the post is a 1:1 support position at times they may be required to work in any of our classes to support the education of individual pupils or groups of children. Applicants should be appropriately qualified and have relevant skills and experience.
The successful candidate should have at least a level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification, have a good experience working in a school environment, ideally in the Early Years, and a good understanding and knowledge of SEN/Disability and how to assist children requiring 1to1 support.
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), plus two references, and right to work in the United Kingdom.

Position 1 TA2 1 to 1 EY 16.25 8.30 to 12.45 Monday to Friday
Position 2: TA2 1 to 1 Caterpillars 15hrs 8.50 to 11.50 Monday to Friday
