Children’s Physical Activity Playworker (2 positions), working across Granby, Old Swan, Tuebrook and Wavertree in Liverpool; 12 hours per week; initially fixed-term until 30th September 2022 (extension to 31st December 2022 possible); £10.35 per hour

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for two enthusiastic and committed Children’s Physical Activity Playworkers to facilitate and deliver physical activity sessions to children aged 4yr – 11yrs.  This will take place across four locations in Liverpool – Granby, Old Swan, Tuebrook and Wavertree

You will deliver physical activity sessions after school and in the school holidays, which are fun, stimulating and educational.  You will ensure this creative and physical play opportunities take place in a safe and caring environment.

You will hold a Level 3 or 2 qualification (or equivalent) in one of the following:

  • Sports-based qualification (such as Sports Development or Coaching Sports & Fitness),
  • Playwork,
  • Health & Social Care, or
  • Early Years/Childcare

You will help with ensuring targets set by management are met and work well in a team with your team colleagues and management.

The successful applicant will meet the person specification.  An enhanced DBS will be undertaken.  The position is 12 hours per week, with hours 3pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday in term-time, with possible different hours in the school holidays.
