Teaching Assistant L2 1 to 1 Support; £19K per annum PRO-RATA (D5-6 point)

An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Teaching Assistant L2 (1 to 1 support for children with additional needs) to provide agency cover ambitious good school, Lydiate Primary School, based in Lydiate, Sefton in Merseyside, in Reception/Year 1 class. The post is to start as soon as possible.
The right candidate will be:
- Committed to raising standards, ensuring children achieve their full potential in acquiring the essential skills needed within the EYFS.
- Adaptable and able to work on their own initiative.
- Able to support pupils who have special needs, especially Complex Needs, ASD and speech & language difficulties.

It is important that the appointed person complements our existing highly professional team. Although the post is a 1:1 support position at times they may be required to work in any of our classes to support the education of individual pupils or groups of children. Applicants should be appropriately qualified and have relevant skills and experience.
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), plus two references, and right to work in the United Kingdom.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 30 hours per week, 8.45am to 3.15pm less 0.5 hours unpaid lunch
