22.25 hours Teaching Assistant; 6 hours Welfare Assistant – Combined – 1 position
Contract: September 2018 to July 2019 or until funding ends
Farnborough Road Infants School are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and hardworking Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in our Early Years Foundation Stage in a Reception class. The post is to start on 1st September 2018.
It is essential that the candidate has excellent literacy and numeracy skills, experience of working within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team. A Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification is essential.
Tasks will include supporting the class teacher to ensure learning is maximised and the specific needs of the pupil, as identified in the SEN support plan, are met.
There are also 6.25 hours of Welfare Assistant role included in this position. During these hours, you will be responsible for securing the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils during the midday break period. The appointed person would need to have excellent attendance record and be totally reliable
Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), plus two references, and right to work in the United Kingdom.
