Unfortunately, footprints@pinetots pre-school in Formby will cease to operate on Friday 14th February 2020.
First Steps has undertaken a full and comprehensive review of operations of the pre-school and a range of alternatives have been fully explored.
Due to decreasing numbers, which the company believes is in part because of the quantity of local pre-school provision, and having tried a number of initiatives to increase numbers and improve the financial situation, it is unfortunately not viable to continue to operate the setting.
The setting will be working with parents to assist transitions for children to other childcare provision.
This does not affect the operation of other footprints@ settings, which remain fully open, and can be utilised by current Pine Tots parents if they wish.
First Steps is genuinely sorry to have to take this action at this time, and would like to thank all parents and partner agencies, including Sefton MBC, for their support for the pre-school.
