Outreach & Activities Worker

£22,737  pro-rata (actual £18,190.60 gross) 
28 hours a week (9:00-4:30) – 4 days a week between Monday to Friday
Initially fixed term to 31st March 2025

Exciting opportunity for a dynamic and committed Activities Worker, based in North Liverpool Children’s Centre ; £22,737 pro-rata ; 

The successful candidate will work across the North of Liverpool and target families whose children are eligible for two & three year nursery funding with the aim of increasing take up of nursery places and increase attendance. This will be likely be across Tuebrook, Anfield, Everton and Kirkdale in Liverpool. Successful candidate would also work to improve EYFS outcomes by persuading reach area families to take up services which meet and address families’ specific needs (with a focus on the most vulnerable families).

The successful candidate will also be required to support and deliver family & child activities (such as Rhyme Time, Stay and Play, Messy Play, Baby massage, baby weighing, physical activity sessions, Early Years Workshops, Early Support and others), which provide childcare, education, health and family support and to assist with other activities with children and families in the children’s centre as directed.

The successful candidate will be required to hold at least a level 2 in Early Years, Health & Social Care (Level 3 preferred) , able to support and deliver centre staff delivering activities for families and children aged 0-5 in the centre, good knowledge of the reach area/community the children’s centre serves, being strongly motivated is essential and full driving license and own vehicle (mileage reimbursed).  An enhanced DBS will be undertaken.
