Nursery Room Leader
Salary Grade 3 NJCJE Pt. 5-9 (Starting at £21,575)
35 hours per week; Fixed-term for 12 months; all year round.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nursery Practitioner or Nursery Nurse to develop management and leadership skills, or an established Room Leader who is keen to further develop their career to work in an all-year-round school-based nursery in South Liverpool as a Nursery Room Leader.
You will work as part of the management team to provide professional leadership and management to the Nursery staff (Childcare Practitioners, Assistants and Support Staff) to ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education. This person will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and have an excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, which can be applied practically.
We are looking for an inspiring room leader with a sound knowledge of child development of children aged between 0 to 5. The successful applicant will establish effective partnerships with the school nursery staff to ensure consistency in routine, boundaries and learning.
This post will require the room lead to spend time in ratio, leading the provision in the pre-school room and undertake key worker responsibilities for an allocated number of children. Therefore, the ability to manage time, staff and tasks well is important.
You will hold a full and relevant qualification in Early Years at Level 3 or above and have proven experience working with children aged 3 and 4. You will meet the person specification. An enhanced DBS and other appropriate checks will be undertaken.
