footprints@netherton, one of First Steps Enterprise’s nurseries, has just been awarded a ‘good’ grade following its inspection in February 2020.

The report is very positive about the nursery. It states that ‘Leaders and the manager are passionate about enriching the experiences of young children and their families. Together, with the help of staff and parents, they evaluate the quality of the setting and the plans for future changes. Staff put children at the heart of the setting’

Nursery Manager Jackie Murray says that ‘the whole team are very pleased with the result of the inspection. We work to put children’s development and needs first and we are happy that the report shows this’.

First Steps Company Deputy Manager, Sarah Mercer, who oversees the company’s nurseries adds ‘it is a very good report to read and we are really pleased it reflects the team’s strengths, and the care and attention paid to putting children at the heart of what we do.’ Sarah adds ‘we are very proud of Jackie and the whole team – Laura, Clare, Cathy and Charlotte.’

The report also states that ‘children are confident and eager to learn’ and reflects positively on inter agency partnerships and mathematical development. It suggests some areas to enable the setting progress further. The full report can be read here
