Family Activities & Engagement Worker – £9.85 per hour/flexible 2 or 3 days (14-21 hours) per week over initially until 21st December 2018, based in Kensington Children’s Centre in Liverpool
To start as soon as possible, and so being on the DBS Updated Service would be an advantage.
We are looking for an experienced, committed, pro-active Family Activities & Engagement Worker. This role is to support and deliver parent & child group and individual activities (i.e. Stay and Play, Rhyme Time, Toddler Groups, Early Years Workshops), which promote parent & child interaction and the development of the child.
The successful individual will work as part of the children’s centre team to deliver high quality early years services for children and families. S/he will also undertake community engagement activities to increase registrations to encourage families to participate in centre services
The successful applicant will have a level 3 a early years/childcare-related qualification or equivalent, and meet the person specification. Being able to effectively deliver parent & child groups and individual activities is vital
You will understand child development from 0 to 5, and understand the ethos and services of children’s centres. An enhanced DBS will be undertaken if not in place, although being on the DBS Update Service is highly desirable. The post is based in Kensington Children’s Centre, Liverpool, and crosses the communities of Kensington and occasionally Picton.
