Nursery Deputy Manager, Netherton, Merseyside, £19,161 PRO-RATA (actual £16,569)/ 37.5 hours per week/term-time only

We are looking for a committed and dynamic Deputy Manager to work in our footprints@netherton nursery, based in Netherton Family Well Being Centre, Netherton, Merseyside.   This person will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills and have an excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage, which can be applied practically.

Footprints@netherton nursery is a small community-based nursery, based in Netherton Family Wellbeing Centre.  It is set across 2 childcare rooms and cares for children aged from 2 to 4 years old.  Children are at the heart of all we do in footprints@netherton.  Our most recent Ofsted report (February 2020, ‘good’ grading) is very positive about the nursery, stating that ‘Leaders and the manager are passionate about enriching the experiences of young children and their families. Together, with the help of staff and parents, they evaluate the quality of the setting and the plans for future changes. The role of Nursery Deputy Manager will include:

  • To act as Deputy Manager for the setting, supporting the Manager to ensure that children, parents and the staff team work together to provide a high-quality childcare.
  • To promote and take a lead in promoting Early Learning and development in the setting

The successful applicant will have a level 3 in a childcare qualification or equivalent, and meet the person specification.

You will have at least two years experience in the Early Years , demonstrate you have the skills and aptitude to act as Nursery Manager, and have experience of delivering a high-quality learning environment in the Early Years.  Being able to build quality relationships with children, staff and parents is vital.  An enhanced DBS will be undertaken
