We are very pleased that footprints@kingskids After School Club achieved ‘Met’ in its most recent Ofsted Inspection in July 2022!
As a brief explanation, Ofsted have two inspection criteria for after and out of school clubs, ‘Met’ and ‘Not Met’, for judging the quality and standards of Early Years Provision. Kings Kids is registered on both the Early Years (0 to 5) and Childcare Registers (over 5). Only a grade is ever given for the Early Years Register at inspection.
The report, which is in full here, states that the ‘management team and staff show a good understanding of their responsibility to keep children safe.’ They also draw attention to ‘The manager shares the arrangements she has in place to evaluate the quality of the setting. Staff work closely with the host school and links to children’s current learning. The manager gathers the views of staff, parents, children and other professionals, to help maintain a good quality service.’ Furthermore, the report highlights that ‘the club is an important part of the local community, and has been for many years.’
Sue Cummins, the Lead Playworker, states ‘we are very pleased with the inspection report’. Sarah Mercer, the Company Deputy Manager, who oversees the footprints@ childcare settings in First Steps Enterprise, adds, ‘the report reflects the hard work Sue and Lyndsey put into the club every day, making a great club for the children to come to. Ian (the Managing Director) and I want to thank them for all they do in club.’
