The role involves delivering high quality services and support to children and families facing a range of difficulties in need of Early Help or who are identified as needing continuing support after having been involved with statutory social work services.

It involves the completion of Early Help assessments, direct work with children and coordinating Early Help meetings to ensure that there are clear plans in place to improve the outcomes for children and young people (0-19 years). Experience of completing assessments, using EHM (Early Help Module), multi-agency working, delivering high quality interventions and direct work with children is essential to this role.

The role will also involve the delivery of activities through the appropriate models and frameworks to engage, empower and enable families within our reach to take ownership of their own solutions and develop resilience.

This will likely be over three days but may change according to circumstances.

Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), plus two references, and right to work in the United Kingdom.

The centre is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

First Steps Enterprise Limited is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We welcome and encourage applicants from all backgrounds. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, or age.
