Children and families are at the heart of all we do.
In our Footprints childcare settings, First Steps encourages children to explore, be inquisitive, to learn and have fun. We delight in children’s achievements, no matter how small a step. In fooprints@kingsmeadow, we provide quality care to two-year-old children.
We empower children to give it a go, to keep on trying, to believe in themselves.
Our nursery recognises the strong sense of community that our families feel, and we value our relationships with parents.
footprints@kingsmdeadow 2-year nursery is located within Kings Meadow Primary School in Ainsdale, Southport. We work in close partnership with Kings Meadow Primary School, including the school’s nursery class from age 3 and above
As well as core hours, wrap around hours will be available, including breakfast in the nursery room, and also the opportunity to access after school places in our after school club, also on the Kings Meadow Primary School site, footprints@kingskids (Kings Kids). The nursery will be open term-time from 8am to 3.15pm.

Management Team
The First Steps Management Team from left to right: Sarah Mercer is the Company’s Deputy Manager, and oversees the setting in Kings Kids, ensuring quality standards are adhered to. Ann Howarth is our Administrator. Ian Merrison is Managing Director of the company and is the nominated person for the company with Ofsted. Jennifer Merrison is a Company Director. Opening Times and Location
footprints@ kingsmeadow nursery provides care for up to 10 children aged two between 8am and 3.15pm, with up to 6pm wraparound available.
It is situated in Kings Meadow Primary School, Meadow Lane, Ainsdale, Southport, Merseyside, PR8 3RS.
